Patient Care

At UConn, a team of board-certified geriatricians (primary care physicians who specialize in treating older adults) provide individualized care for mature patients. We listen to your concerns and coordinate the many services people need to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives as they age.Patients at Geriatrics Associates receive comprehensive care, looking at the full picture of each patient’s medical, social, family and psychological needs. In addition, patients are involved in their own care and are treated as they deserve, with kindness and compassion by an excellent clinical care team.

Physicians Who Care

UConn has the most comprehensive services in the area for medical problems that occur more often in older age.

Geriatrics Associates provide the following services:

Strategies for Healthy Aging

We work with patients to develop a “prescription for healthy living.” This may include advice on nutrition, exercise, skin care and the prevention of diseases associated with aging. The goal is to help men and women remain vital and independent into their later years.

Primary Care

Physicians with Geriatrics Associates provide comprehensive care for patients, including ongoing primary and preventive services, such as regular check ups, immunizations and flu shots, and more.

Specialized Care

Our geriatricians are specially trained to prevent and manage the unique, and oftentimes multiple, health concerns of older adults. We help patients who need referrals to other medical services and provide specialized care for those who are admitted to UConn’s John Dempsey Hospital.
