Welcome

Welcome to the University of Connecticut Center on Aging. We invite you to explore this website which describes our Clinical, Educational and Research programs. We are located at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, near Hartford, half-way between New York City and Boston.

This is a time of exciting change in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology, and the UConn Center on Aging is fully committed to fulfilling it's three missions:

1) To provide high quality comprehensive care for older adults.
2) To train the next generation of leaders in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology.
3) To conduct research which will improve the independence, function and quality of life for older adults.

The Center on Aging Geriatricians provide primary care for older adults at the Farmington campus, other locations, and a number of affiliated sites. Consultative and specialty services are also available. Educational activities include a top ranked two-year Geriatric Medicine Fellowship, Seminar Series, Discovery Series and annual CME Courses.

Our research faculty consist of clinical investigators, basic scientists and researchers conducting health outcome/population studies - all committed to increasing our knowledge of the aging process and to the discovery of new strategies for promoting functional health and quality of life for older adults.
